Highway Cumulonimbus – Miami Oil on canvas 24 x 18 in
I painted this in the studio referencing a study done before I hit the road two years ago. It was fun being back in the studio with the challenges of bringing a painting to life without a live reference. I loved building the mood with glazes—layer by layer. It’s a slower process I can’t do on the roadside, but so worth it.
