I painted this during the Women’s RTR (Road Tramp Rendezvous), a gathering I nearly skipped because, truth be told, I was still pretty allergic to people. And January in Quartzsite? Packed. But with some gentle nudging from friends, I went. They were right. I met women who’ve become treasured friends, mentors, and mirrors.

You can spot an RV tucked in the bottom right corner of the painting—a nod to the sea of rigs scattered across BLM land that time of year. That little detail tells a bigger story: one of connection, courage, and dust-kissed mornings in the desert.
